Please show me when I have EVER started a political thread on this forum, and
I shall apologise.

Nonsense.

You had better go back and re-read the thread. In the beginning, I only said
they were criminal, which is a fact that is universally accepted among
reasonable people. Nothing political about that. And several leaders have
referred to them as terrorists, way before the Bush administration co-opted
the term for their assault on civil liberties.

The politics didn't start until someone posted an ad hominem attack against
the President.

Well, if you're changing the subject, then you're obviously NOT stating the
same thing I am!

I'm sorry, but the blind-rage jihad against the President that has been so
popular in this town for the last 3.5 years is nothing less than hate speech.
I can't do much about the LTEs and lawn signs of the idiot fringe, but I can
-- and do -- complain when it leaks onto this forum.

I equate hatred with hatred. It wasn't "disgust," it was hate speech.

No, I only made a joke. Someone else turned it into a can of worms. Please
don't complain when someone catches you with your hand in the cookie jar.
