Well colocation is more like renting office space than renting a postoffice box,
it's a relatively complex long term business relationship where you
are buying a
(most probably) fairly custom mix of services.

It's not easy for a provider to quote you a flat price for something
that could range from
1U w/ 1GB/month bandwidth capped at 100mbits/s 
to
An entire cage with generator backup an ATM endpoint and 3GB/month
from a colocated transit provider that can handle up to 500mbits/s
peak traffic and custom firewall and VPN services plus monitoring and
support.

There are places that offer packages at a flat rate, but usually
that's for VPS or VirtualHosting web service.
