Well, Ive had pretty good luck with wifi just working (either works or doesnt 
work at all!). I do have a friend with a brand new (this was a couple months 
ago...) laptop running windows XP that would disconnect itself every half 
hour or so. Mine never got disconnected in either windows or linux.
It was particularly frustrating for him, as he was getting free high speed 
internet at his home...
