More countercookie suggestions:

You can tell Firefox or Mozilla to only save cookies until you quit
the application.  The setting is in Preferences/Privacy/Cookies.  That
way, web sites can't accumulate any long-term info about your browsing
habits.

You can also click the "View Cookies" button to see what cookies
you've been given.
