There are several devices around the house (clocks, phones, sprinkler
controller, cellular repeater) that don't warrant a full UPS, but it
would be good for them to stay up during a power failure.  Most of
them draw less than 10 watts, so they don't need huge batteries.  None
of them have USB or serial ports, so they don't need active
management.

Does anybody make a "mini-UPS" that is cheap and small for tiny
loads?  I'm hoping for something not much bigger than a wall wart
and not much more expensive.
