One of the things that caught my eye in Make Magazine last week is
that the MIT Fab Lab is using a milling machine to make PC boards. (I
guess that makes them MC boards.) The reason is that they avoid the
toxic chemical runoff of tradional PCB etching.

Has anyone seen circuit board milling services? Does anyone know
whether milled boards really more envirofriendly? (I.e., are the
board etching chemicals a significant fraction of or significantly
more toxic than the total waste stream from the manufacture, assembly
and delivery of an electronic circuit?)
