Abstract
Forensics is the application of science in investigating legal issues. It follows then that Computer Forensics is the application of Computer Science to investigating evidence on Computers. Join Kim Schaffer, CSO of NTI in this look at the current methodologies and challenges of Computer Forensics whether used for law enforcement, corporate security, or policy verification.
Bio
Kim Schaffer is a member of IEEE, ISSA, and ASIS. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M and Masters of Science in System Management and Communication and Information Systems Management from Capitol College. Mr. Schaffer has focused on communications and computer security for over 25 years. At NTI, a world renown training facility in Computer Forensics based in Gresham, Oregon, Mr. Schaffer is an instructor in addition to overseeing tool development for computer investigations. His previous experience includes positions at Tripwire, Sequent, SafeNet, Booz Allen, SAIC and NSA.
