: I'm looking at a can of Falcon brand Dust-Off
: and the only references to the contents are:
:
: contains difluoroethane
:
: Google led me to the manufacturer's MSDS for the product
: http://www.falconsafety.com/assets/falcon/msds/75-37-6.pdf
:
: Generally speaking it's probably safe to use it in a ventilated area,
: but the can specifically cautions against using it near sources of
: ignition. And the MSDS says that the product will decompose to
: hydrofluoric acid under fire conditions and that SCBA gear is
: recommended if containers rupture under fire condition.
:
: So generally not something you want to spray on live electronics.
well, atleast not flaming electronics. It doesnt say heat or electricity
causes decomposition, it says fire.
:
: Bob, you probably want to get a fine probe voltmeter
: to check the traces connecting the ethernet jack to to the board.
If your just checking continuity, then you could easily make a continuity
checker with those peices of misc electronics you had at your place last
meeting...
now, on for a more fun topic, how can I extract HF with a can of dustoff?

In short, at least give the penguin a fair viewing. If you still don't
like it, that's ok: that's why I'm boss. I simply know better than you do.
