Guys,
In the course of putting together a costed BOM for the Mint Tin MP3
player project, I ran across this on the site FAQ. This may be a
consideration for some people. esp Larry since you expressed interest in
using SD cards instead of CF. Plus they're talking abouyt a full kit
which may be easier for some. In the meantime, I'm bringing a partial
costed BOM to the meeting tonight. (We meeting at your place Larry?)
Also, a Couple more people may want to put in a sample order for the PIC
needed.

Mini Minty MP3! A very simple, but very awesome MP3 player that you can
build. It fits in an Altoids gum box, uses SD/MMC cards, and runs off of
2 rechargable AAA batteries. Kits will be available in April '05. Comes
with USB battery recharging, a simple interface (i.e. no LCD), PCB, and
all components necessary. (You supply memory flash card and minty tin).
