Actually, I bought a *project*. It's a fairly nice house but
built in the 50's. I'm replacing nearly all the original wiring
in the house because there *wasn't* any grounded outlets in the
place even though the previous owners had a couple 3 prong
outlets in place. The previous wiring was installed through the
framing so it's been a PITA to rip out and replace without
putting too many holes in the walls. The garage won't be
completed until I drop another subpanel in there since I have a
second 100 AMP line running into there unattached to anything
right now. I've already dropped in a new subpanel and all new
breakers for the wiring that I've run so far. 

I'll be taking your advice for sure Allen. You should see some
of the cruddy wiring that has been done for add-ons. Totally
pathetic and not anywhere near code.
