Publisher 2003's "save as" file formats include unicode text, postscript, plaintext, HTML, RTF, MS Works, MS Word 97-2003 doc, gif, jpg,, tif, png, bmp, wmf Which objects in the pub document get "converted" is determined on the file format you choose, and the specific design/layout of the document, and the file formats of the objects embedded within or linked to the document.. If all you want to do is read the text content then the text, RTF or MS Word formats are likely good choices. You will likey lose some (or a lot) of the layout information and the graphical objects.
