Actually amongst business users, it hasn't been true since NT 4.0,
which is about the time it began to gain mass acceptance in the

Of course, NT has always been 32-bit (or above). It has had fully
64-bit versions since Windows 2000. NT 4 has some 64 bit functionality
but DID NOT have functionality for 64-bit processes nor a 64-bit
memory space.

Windows 2003 SP1 (if you're fortunate enough to be able to afford a
license or an MSDN membership) is an awesome workstation operating
environment, with a few tweaks and an install of cygwin.
