In three of weeks I'll be at the Oregon Country Fair, ostensibly to hand out CDs to all and sundry (because if Linux is going to be called a "hippie operating system" we might as well interest some of the last genuine hippies in it, and there's no better place locally to find hippies than the Oregon Country Fair). I thought I had this settled in March when I put in an order with Ubuntu for 500 CDs, and exchanged email with [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or perhaps [EMAIL PROTECTED]) confirming that Ben and I'd have them for the Faire. For whatever reason, shipit.ubuntulinux.org has no record that my more recent order has shipped, so I emailed Mako a couple of times over the last two weeks, but got no response. Now, perhaps Ubuntu is going to deliver in time, and that would be good. If its now time to panic constructively, I think it a good idea to ask Eugluggers to burn appropriate CDs, label them as comcisely as you wish, and bring them to one of the next two Thursday Clinics, which I pledge to find and attend on the 23rd and 30th with an eye towards collecting CDS. (Old Masonic in Springfield, no?) Worst case, Ben'll have a plethora of CDs for Burning Man.
