It should also be noted that while some animals steal, others are protective of their family, homes, and prey. Thus, I keep my doors locked and don't flash about my belongings. Though if I killed to protect then law would come into place and find a special little place for me. So, as I was only emphasizing in my original post, stealing had been around longer than you think so passing judgement such as "it's the fault of the low life scum" is pointless. Hyenas and vultures are pretty low life scum but that's their way of life. Sadly, humans are much the same. Some want to be the king of their domain, others are submissive, and others are as you say "low life scum".
