yeah, im aware of that, however its much more likely to pull the laptop off the table before breaking the connector inside the laptop... and Ive been aware of that possibilitiy... but really when i accidently snag the cord with my shoe, its always a light tug. usually nothing happens, sometimes it would unplug, The original plug lasted over a year w/no issue. the new crapy plugs break within a day or 2. I think what caused the original plug to wear out was that it was real close to the ferite(sp) bead.

anyway, i have to move my today, so im too busy to deal with it, maybe next week i can check out those places that tony menioned. (thanks tony!)

I do understand the headache, and I do commiserate. My own experience with the "kicking the cord" issue was solved when I moved the power source to the top of the desk. In short, I connected a plug strip to the electrical outlet, and put the plug strip on top of my work surface - ain't cubicles grand? I hesitate to suggest that my solution might work for you because I don't know your details - if it is purely portable problem (like to class or customer's site, or something) my solution is probably a nonstarter, but I hope this helps.
