Rooms - as far as internet connectivity... while EWEB can't let the
public on its corporate network. We do have a separate DSL line for
testing and such, and I've already bought a wireless firewall to set up
for this ( just need to get time to set it up ) - the signal just might
reach out there ( any pringles can experts ? ).. the wireless piece
will be desinged mainly for vendors ( who continually walk in and expect
to plug into our network with thier laptops ) and for others demanding
wireless PDA access to the internet. The firewall will likely allow
only the main internet ports outbound.
I Looked at the e-calanders for the meeting rooms. Thurs and Fridays
appear to be the most popular days by far. Mondays and Tues have a lot
of open times and weekedns are moderate - not sure how you feel about
changing your meeting night ? Looks like I might be able to simply plop
times in there myself - I'll check on that. I'd also be more than happy
to help host a few meetings in other rooms unitl you could get a more
permanent spot in that list.. ( there is a cafeteria room upstairs and a
big room over in the West building on the corner ) I was looking at
the names of the groups using the rooms now, and um .. I probably
shouldnt pass them on just in case one of you knows someone in one of
those groups but I had a serious laugh on a few of them - I had no
idea.. ( well this is Eugene )
