I'm personally looking for an FM transmitter setup to pipe AM into my station at work. Many large AC motors, along with flourescent lighting make direct AM reception almost impossible, along with the fact I need about 200' of transmission range. Hmm, I wonder where the FCC stands on this?

The transmitter I linked to will do 200ft when paired with a good quality tuner on the other end.

You'll need to use the A/C adaptor rather than batteries, and you might want to use the (easily available) "hack" to up the power output.

As a bonus, it'll transmit on every channel in the FM range.

I should note: I have never tried it in a room with lots of motors, but it's served me well in many server rooms/offices/buildings with thick concrete walls.
