Can you describe what a EUGLUG map server would be? Are you thinking
Google Maps for the greater metropolitan bi-city area?

I'd like to see a place where I or other LUGsters can post stories
about whatever Linux-related stuff we happen to have recently learned.
A 'blog, in other words. The point is that if we open up posting to
everyone in the club, we won't get LESS content than if just the
webmasters do the updating. We might get more, and that would
be a good thing.
I'd also like to see collected slides from all our past presentations,
organized somewhat better than they are today.
I'd also like to see some static pages that give directions to our
meeting place(s).
If we happened to incorporate RSS feeds from LWN or Linux Journal or
the Corvallis LUG, it would give the impression that things are
happening, whether they are or not.
If we make the site multi-user, we definitely have to set it up so
that only logged-in users can post, and a moderator approves new
users.
How 'bout this? In January, let's start building a test site on
Thursday nights. Just a sandbox, nothing for production. Once we get
a feel for what we want, we can overhaul the live site. I should be
able to attend most of the meetings in January, so I'll help... Does
OPN have a server they can lend us?
