I think we should all give thanks to Klaus Knopper for popularizing
the Live CD. Every distro has one now. Even Debian is planning to
get one out around 2012, now that they've almost mastered the
graphical installer.
I understand Microsoft is developing a CD-ROM disc with a credit card
reader attached so that you can pay per-minute to run the Windows
Vista Live CD.
