Ralph, I'm with you on screen.  In fact, screen is generally my window
manager of choice.  ;)

I can live with Window Maker otherwise, particularly since it's not
terribly difficult to make it behave like a certain other OS I use
frequently and the Mod1-Tab feature will raise the windows as you cycle
through them if you turn on superfluous visual effects.  That particular
superfluous visual is required for me to be able to use a wm--neither
Metacity nor xfwm4 have it.  =(
