OSU is reaching out to work with local companies
Here's a chance to find out about OSU research that can help your company.
You will get a chance to visit two labs in the new Kelly Engineering Center,
meet with OSU researchers, and discover whether you can work together to
create new opportunities for your company or exhance those projects already
underway.
This "Partnering for New Products" event is the third in a series sponsored
by The Software Association of Oregon, Oregon State University School of
Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. Through the event series, the
sponsors hope to pair up local business and OSU researchers who are working
on similar problems so they can work together to bring new products to
market.

Presenters:
Dr. John Cassady is Vice President for Research at OSU. Dr. Cassady joined
OSU in March, 2005. The Research Office serves faculty involved in
innovative research and scholarship in all OSU colleges and departments, and
in multidisciplinary centers, institutes, and programs. The Research Office
is very involved with technology transfer.
Ron Adams is Dean of the College of Engineering for OSU. He has led the
drive to build OSU's college of Engineering into a top-25 engineering
school. He has an industry background coming from Tektronix and has a keen
interest in industry relationships.
Dr. Terri Fiez is Professor & Director of the School of Electrical
Engineering and Computer Science. Terri has been very active in
establishing relations with industry. You will want to hear what she has to
say.
Tour of two the the labs in the Kelly Engineering Center
Dr. Michael Bailey is a Professor of the School of Electrical
Engineering and Computer Science. Mike will be leading a tour of the
facilities for the Graphics and Image Technology Group.
Dr. Terri Fiez Terri will be leading a tour of the lab for the
Analog/Mixed Signal Group.

Directions (from Portland):
1. Take I-5 S toward Corvallis - go about 72 mi
2. Take the OR-34 exit 228 to Lebanon/Corvallis
3. Turn right at OR-34 - go 9.8 mi
4. Go over bridge and continue on NW Harrison Blvd - go 0.3 mi
5. Turn left at NW 9th St - go 0.2 mi
6. Turn right on Monroe Ave. Proceed on Monroe about 6 blocks and turn left
on Park Terrace (right across from 25th Street). The Kelley Engineering
Center is at the end of Park Terrace. Parking is free after 5:00pm
(reserved parking spots, metered parking, etc. are still off limits though).
The parking lots adjacent to the Kelley Engineering Center begin to empty,
typically between 5 and 5:15ish, so that is a good place to park.
