I was actually referring to the immaturity and vulgarness of Theo and
his worshippers. Nowhere else do you see this kind of language or
tone used (regularily) on any open source related mailing list.
That's probably why people try to make them look bad, it's because
they've been burned by them before.

Yes, everyone is jealous of OpenBSD. It's all jealousy. It has
nothing to do with the fact that Theo has made a lot of enemies over
the years, and scared away any potential developers with his bipolar
personality.

If that was the case, OpenBSD wouldn't rely so heavily on
FreeBSD/NetBSD code. I remember a while back when the alpha port died
temporarily, because OpenBSD couldn't steal^H^H^H^H^Hmerge code from
NetBSD's CVS anymore due to changes in the license. Of course, that
was blamed entirely on NetBSD. How dare they change their license!

Although the "shut up and hack" approach is good in general, one has
to be open to criticism and feedback from the users.

I'm not here to troll, I'm only responding to your comment that my
comments "are quite outdated".

Again, I'm not here to troll. I'm simply responding to your comment.
I gave a short history of my Unix background (it happened to include
OpenBSD, which was the very first BSD I used, and used for a long
time) in conjunction to my question as to which Linux distro I should
install on my desktop. I also gave a short reason as to why I'm using
NetBSD today primarily - if you didn't want to know that reason, you
could've simply ignored it. I don't even know why you're so offended
that I switched from OpenBSD.

I didn't really read most of this thread. "Linux distro/xBSD xyz
users suck/smell/are mean/stupid/newbies" flame wars are pretty
pointless and stupid, so I try to stay out of them.
