The Strand (is that what it's called?) on 8th and Charnelton (bookstore, coffee shop and Cosmic Pizza under one roof) I believe has free WiFi. Last I checked, 5th Street Market did as well, but I know they are doing some contruction in the food area downstairs (Café Yumm and Metropol have moved out to make way for something) so I don't know if they still have it. The Indigo District on 13th and ... Pearl maybe? - they have free WiFi.
Here's a list, there are a few more out there, I'm sure. http://www.jiwire.com/browse-hotspot-united-states-us-oregon-or-eugene-98175 .htm Jason LaPier Network Manager TACS / WRRC University of Oregon > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Quentin Hartman > Sent: Monday, January 23, 2006 3:19 PM > To: Eugene Unix and Gnu/Linux User Group > Subject: Re: [Eug-lug] WI-FI Downtown Eug > > On 1/22/06, Jeff Newton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Anyone know how well the wi-fi access is downtown for laptops? > > > Depends on precisely where you are.
