Ok. I did that using Win 98 and SwapManager and it worked with a Shuttle X and a 3 Gig Quantum. Without turning the computer off, I pulled the Quantum out and stuck in a 6 Gig Maxtor. The computer didn't crash and the proper files showed up as they should on each drive.
No special cards or hardware. Just software. Now, how do we do that with Linux? Would hdparm work?
