Take the slowest miniITX board,power supply, add 256MB RAM, 4
port SATA card, cage for it all and you'll be out no less than
$400. Add in the time to setup a CF based distro with a simple
web interface and hot swap abilities on the hard drive and I'd
gladly pay at least $500 for the box. At that point, $600 isn't
looking so bad. $649 is MSRP. Cost (for resellers) really isn't
much less than $600. ComputerBase couldn't sell one for less
because by the time you pay for shipping you *might* make 5%
when selling for $600.
