Tech Brew Pub
WEDNESDAY February 22 5:30 - 7:30pm
Rogue Tap House, Downstairs Room, 844 Olive Street
Cost: None
Speaker: Tim Folker of Professional Techworks, will share the story of the Computer Reuse and Recycling Center (CRRC)

CRRC (previously known as Macrenewal) is two years old and growing. They are one of Oregon's premier electronics recyclers covering Lane County, southern Oregon, parts of Washington and California. Championed by the visionary Lorraine Kerwood, it is run almost totally by volunteers.

As a 501(c)3 non-profit, CRRC has gifted over a thousand computer systems to those in need. They've partnered with international social service agencies to create computer labs in Central and South America. Refurbished equipment that isn't placed is sold at rock bottom prices in their Computer Thrift Store at 2nd and Polk in Eugene. What can't be reused is recycled. They have processed over 300 tons of metals, plastics, circuit boards, printers, monitors, CDs, paper, block foam, and other materials.

Learn more about CRRC and how you can help tomorrow (Wednesday) at the next SAO Brew Pub.

For more information about CRRC visit them in person (2nd & Polk), or on the web at http://www.lanecrrc.org, or call 541-686-2366.
