Ok, then you should love this one. About two weeks ago Microsoft's Anti Spy ware software decided that part of Symantec 's NAV AntiVirus software was spyware and prompted the user to removed it. If the user followed this advice and removed the file they essentially disabled their computers anti-virus software.

I have a friend who works for Symantec who said this happened to tens of thousands of users within a couple of hours of the release of the new Microsoft defs. He said calling this a disaster would be like saying the Titanic took on some water. Apparently you had to get new defs for Microsoft (reboot), edit the registry(reboot), uninstall NAV(reboot), and reinstall it(reboot), all the while hoping you hadn't just gotten a virus...
