Ahh, but the question remains: Is HTML the sex or the bathtub? I would
argue that it is the former rather than the latter. Given modern
software, you can design a reasonable page that does the right thing
without a whole lot of wasted tags (contrast with Frontpage). This
requires that you know something about design.
Conversely, you can know HTML quite well and be totally unable to design
anything remotely appealing if your very life depended on it. That would
be me, essentially.
