They are trying to adjust their pricing to try and compete with OSS.
We were contacted by them about 6 months ago and told that we could
become a reseller. They would charge us 10% of the full price for a
license to resell. Anything we could sell it for over that amount
was our profit. I think they wanted to charge us 700-1200$ for this
privilege.

If they had done this 4 years ago it would have been bold and
exciting, as it is, it's pretty much ho-hum. Oracle will be shipping
their own linux with their overpriced DB products, eh'nice, but...
