I think i have 9.1 on my old imac... Im pretty sure it wont run osX... even with the whopping 256M ram i jambed into it.

First off, do the free 9.1 to 9.2 upgrade, little tidbits fixed here and there. Also, your iMac will run OSX, I just don't advise anything higher than 10.2, and since 10.0 was horrible, and 10.1 barely less, I would also advise nothing less than 10.2 (10.2.8 specifically). 10.2.8 will run even on old G3 beige-boxes, I have a 300MHz one. I think OSX runs some things faster on it than on 9, mostly due to code cleanups and more efficient way of handling things.

Thanks,

Chris
