Sourceforge system.  Directory containing several repositories (still easy
to backup with relatively clean easy access control), with each repository
containing possibly more than one related thing for a given project.

This setup allows for everything to grow as big as you need it, but at the
same time it is not an extraordinary amount of overhead for a couple of
small projects.
