There has been some discussion off list about upgrading tux.euglug.org to a more current hardware level so that we can run a more recent OS and have access to some fancy new software, so that we can revitalise the website, so that more people come to linux and share the source etc.
The current box is a Pentium MMX 166 MHz 384 MB RAM 3 GB disk (!) in a 4U case. I have a 4U case with a 300Mhz Celeron that could be the base for a replacement machine, I also have a 2U case with dual power supplies and cruft but it would definitely need a motherboard and processors before it could be more than a shell. What we will need RAM >= 1 Gb disks >= pair of 80GB for mirror. Soooo...
