Audible.com books feature bookmarking as part of the format. Apparently few players do this right, with the iPod (non-shuffle!) leading the pack. Apparently the shuffle is terrible for bookmarkable files. That's too bad, because it's essentially what I wanted to do with mine. > Can you give me an example of a book, from the EPL, that requires WMA > DRM and/or are they all like that. I cannot, the stuff I am talking about is available to patrons of the NLS talking book services. > I acknowledge Ben's critique, but I have to agree with you that the MP3 > market seems to be in disarray. Yeah, the quality of these things really leaves a lot to be desired. The iPod is not the end-all, be-all of portable media players, it just happens to be the one on the market right now that's good as shipped from the factory. It just supports one of two DRM formats only, which is something I can't imagine most of this list caring about too much. As long as it does not require DRM, it's a good product. _______________________________________________ EUGLUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.euglug.org/mailman/listinfo/euglug
