linuxprinting.org says the Z735 is a "paperweight". If you don't need color you really ought to pick up a used monochrome laser printer. Even the HPs are getting pretty cheap and almost all laser printers work with linux/unix. Recently picked up an HP-2100 with nearly full toner cartridge on ebay for $45, including shipping. Dirt cheap compared to those bubbblejet win-printer things.
BTW, I've got a pair of HPLJ IIIs for anyone interested. One even has a low page count and a fonts cartridge. Will be available end of the month in/around Albany.
