In New Orleans we frequently met at bars, but it appears that there are more draconian laws here about alcohol. I have seen that the 5th street market food court have meeting rooms that are available free of charge and supposedly also have WiFi. Perhaps this would be a reasonable place to have the first meeting.
Have you made a decision as to meeting place? There are a couple of Coffee Shops with wifi in the 5th street region Allan Bros.
