Well, I see that is what [EMAIL PROTECTED] became -- I'll vote for that :)

If you haven't see the voip-info wiki, don't miss it:
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+GUI

The tiny gumstixx platform can even run asterisk:  http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+hardware+Gumstix
... no FPU though, so no codec conversions of course...
and to that mini- and mobile end of the spectrum,
the Nokia 770 can run a SIP client:  http://www.gizmoproject.com/nokia770/
(yes, the 770 uses .deb's, huzzah!)
also a SIP router for the 770:  http://www.teemuharju.net/2006/03/29/sip-express-router-for-maemo/

And a gem for the gtalk users out there:  http://www.gtalk2voip.com/

cheerio,

Trixbox, http://www.trixbox.org, is a very nice CentOS based
distribution for Asterisk. It's aim is to get newbie Asterisk users
"up and running in one hour".
