Greetings all,
I hand edited the file: XF86Config-4 in the /etc/X11/ directory and it
worked great. Now I actually have some screen real estate again. wheee.....
Thanks again all,

look in /etc/X11/
there is either an xorg.conf (modern) or XFree86.conf (old school) file
that needs a modeline.

Greetings all,
Ok, I managed to get Debian to play pretty well with my system. The only
thing that I see right now that is amiss is I have a 19 inch monitor and
800x600 resolution.
Anyone care to share where the config file is or a config utility for
adjusting the resolution to something more realistic like oh say,
1600x1200???
Thanks in advance,
Ron
