SO glad I've been keeping up with these posts, 'cause firewire is
absolutely essential. That would definitely be a deal breaker.
I'm the one who posted that screengrab from their .pdf; must be some
kind of generic manual. Hope nobody made the leap on my say so.

of the firewire port you might be able to return the laptop and pay
some more cash to get to the 1505.
