You can find these fancy mods on all sorts of models of laptops -- if I'm not mistaken I've even seen it done [somehow] on CRT's!
Psyche!!! :) 1. Put camera on tripod, take a picture of scene without computer THEN: 2a. Take another picture, with computer in scene, using black desktop color. 3a. Crop and alpha-blend the first into the second (the easy way) OR 2b. Crop the first appropriately, and set as desktop background (harder, but allows more variety of experience -- only works from vantage-point of camera) Neat, huh? Almost as clever as the dude who solved the rubiks cube with only his feet, in record time... it was reversed, if only his housemate was better at walking backward, and he didn't drop it for that one quick moment... which made it "float up" to his feet when played in reverse. Clever folks, with time and tools on-hand... what will be next? :) Ben PS - flickr has a great collection of these sorts of photos... here are some: http://flickr.com/photos/tags/transparentscreen/clusters/ On 1/5/07, dooger watts <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Buddy of mine from Taipei sent me these pix. His English is marginal, so I wasn't able to get a straight answer as to whether these shots are fake. They're not all the same model laptop, which started me wondering. But, anyway, anybody heard/seen anything about these? Are they for real? I want a laptop with a heads-up display . . . http://www.efn.org/~mikemcoo/nuMac.html _______________________________________________ EUGLUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.euglug.org/mailman/listinfo/euglug
