                    Adventures in Computer Non-Security

                                     by

                                David Mandel
                           <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Most system users and administrators aren't security experts
and don't want to be; but they have to deal with security
in order to get other things done. And they have to do this
within very tight budgets for both in terms of time and money.

     David Mandel fits this situation.

He has had a number of systems invaded over the years including
two in the last year. David will describe a number of techniques
he uses and/or recommends to protect systems and data on
the systems; and where these techniques have worked and where
they have failed. He will also discuss tools that have proven
useful in examining invasions and repairing the damage.
