Thats pretty crusty. I have a couple older laptops that i think are 
busted. one was a 386 with monochrome LCD display. I think it only has 
4m ram, so i never installed linux on it (min 8m for X), but it may 
still work. 
I retrofitted an IBM lugable with a pentium 120, 4m video card, Turtle 
beach sound card, CD burner, ethernet, ... I completly removed the 
unusable monochrome crt and keyboard.
