The bbc had a bit better hit on this group's decision to put google at
the bottom of their best privacy list.
Privacy International rated everyone--and nobody got good scores. But
google got the worst.
And Michael, all your references were to privacy as it pertains to the
marketplace, and specifically to credit. To trust you with their money,
there's certain information a lender has a right to know.
The doctor's the only notable exception on your list--but I think
Privacy International takes a less cynical view than yours.
If someone has curiosity about toxic compounds or nitrates or
gynecological details or radical political movements, they have a right
to do their homework on these subjects without fearing that google's
gonna red flag every sticky word on their list and turn searcher's id's
over to the nsa--which they do.

I'm wondering why they did not talk about Yahoo and TJX. I use some
of google's services. I think every one should read google's TOS and
privacy policy.

If you want to keep your privacy do the following.
1) Don't buy a house
2) Don't use credit cards
3) Don't see a Doctor
4) Don't use or pay for Health Insurance
5) Don't belong to CostCo or Sam's Clubs or any grocery store frequent
shopper programs.

Disclaimer:
I am not advising anyone to not buy a house, stop seeing your
physician, paying or using health insurance or anything else in my
list. Privacy was over well before the 1980's and people who are
shocked that they don't have any privacy have their heads in the sand.

R-G had an article, from the AP out of SanFran, yesterday about privacy.
The headline "Google rates lowest in privacy report." Well
pshaw...everyone
knows that that how Google's search algorithms work.
Is this FUD at its finest? Whats your take?
