Right on, Jim -- I'll second that, as an EFF advocate as well. There shouldn't have to be anything alarming to check into a business... it is not like getting a PI to follow your wife around or anything!
It's just good simple consumer protection. Since corporations are going nuts with fewer checks and balances (or should I say, they've wisely adapted to the capitalism of our politics), it makes all the sense in the world to me. Please promote the use of the BBB, and let people around you know that you don't need a lawyer to file a complaint!
