That is very sad indeed. I always thought the goal of releasing new iterations
of software was to provide enhancements in functionality, performance, look,
and user-friendliness. Apparently rule over your use of media you've acquired
("legally" or otherwise) has become more important to Microshaft. I don't have
much room to talk having only viewed Vista briefly, however if live user
testimonials count for anything, I would sooner set my windoze box aflame
(which has been seeming more and more like a swell idea) than install this
latest Microshaft virus.

Yes, Vista is really that bad. So far only five people have
managed to get me to put Vista on their computers. One used it
for a weekend and upgraded to XP. I've removed Vista from more
machines than I've installed it on.

Now, if you get a nice quad core CPU, 4GB RAM, and a decent
video card you could play Solitaire as smoothly as Windows 3.1
will play it on a 66Mhz 486. If you need proof I'll fire up the
486 alongside the 3Ghz P4 with 1GB RAM in my garage and you can
decide which is faster at opening applications and using them.
