ok I gave up on Ubuntu after several more tries and am now using Knoppix
for the moment but will try to reinstall ubuntu 6.10 again.I tried to
reinstall 6.10 after i send that email but 6.10 would not install, keep asking
me to set a root partition which I WAS doing the same as the first 6.10
install that worked :( I am down loading Kubuntu 7.10 on my laptop right
now as I prefer KDE and will see what happens with that install. Will have to
install some thing other than Knoppix as I can not see my XP install during
the boot options.Thanks !
