I recently purchased a Quickcam pro 5000 and was able to get it
working under Linux using the UVC Linux drivers.  It looks like this
is the driver you might be looking for.

You should be able to build the lkm driver and insmod it with out to
much trouble.  You will need to have your current distro's kernel
headers.
