[Eug-lug] spam on list

I received nine messages today with Jeff Merkley as the subject line. 
(Is the resulting thread not spam?). I suggest the communications 
director for the Jeff Merkley campaign succeeded in the end, where a 
simple deletion of the original list spam attempt would have prevented.
