OWASP Eugene Chapter Monthly Meeting
What is this mod_perl thing anyway?
Hal Pomeranz, Deer Run Associates

6:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday, May 28
Symantec, Vista Room
555 International Way
Springfield, OR

Though far from a mainstream choice for generating web content these
days, mod_perl certainly has some advantages in this space over other
frameworks, particularly from a security perspective. However, the
real value of mod_perl may be in its ability to open up access to the
Apache API, and permit developers to replace entire modules with
custom code. This talk will discuss some of the flexibility and power
this provides, and cover examples of a basic authentication and session
state handler and file upload handler written entirely in mod_perl.

OWASP is the the Open Web Application Security Project, an
organization focused on improving the security of applications.
This meeting is free and open to all so please forward this
message to your colleagues who are interested in application
security. You can read more about OWASP at:
