Well it is rare to find a field where book knowledge, or recollection
thereof, will earn you a direct living.
Even to teach, one must relate and apply examples. So, Lucifer Linux, how
do you want to apply this knowledge?
Great tools, indeed.... getting certified is certainly a Good Idea, but may
depend on what you want from a certification :)
If you want job placement, I'd suggest internships. With tech knowledge,
you have a chance to get a paid internship,
and if you do good work and get along with the company, they'll likely hang
onto you! Are you studying at LCC or UO,
somewhere else, or done w/ that? Sorry if I'm catching up, I was away on
vacation. There is a lot of great guidance
here and in the IT Pro Forum, as well as in the Corvallis area if you can
manage those few miles every now & then,
plus Portland has multiple groups ranging from hobby/funtime to academic to
professional.

BTW, is your handle Lustful LAN EcoLinux, or ...Lane Co Linux....? J/k :)

cheerio,

Ben
