thanks Mr O! I saw that NeroLinux, but I must be reading old web posts as the comparison of K3b to NeroLinux was unflattering for Nero. It was the free version though.
I had been using Nero 6.3 on a Windblows box and it worked just fine. I then got some updates for Nero 6.3 from their site and they were terrible looking. Seemed to be about the time that Nero/Micro had set up a partnership. I'm not adverse to spending for the commercial version, based on your recommendation.
